5 tips for traveling to natural landscapes

Going on a trip to the jungle or the forest is undoubtedly a very rewarding experience, but it could also be one of the most demanding in many aspects. For those nature-lovers, we have some useful tips to make that dream excursion:

  1. Travel with someone

    It’s always good to be accompanied by someone when it comes to exploring nature. If you don’t know the place, it’s highly recommended to hire a guide.

    Exploring is an excellent activity to share with your friends, loved ones or family, but if your thing is to connect with nature on your own, you have to know very well where you’re going and how you are going to do it.

  2. Carry a comfortable backpack: 

    Although it seems very obvious, this is a very important point, because by not having the right backpack, the expedition could become a complete torture!

    The most recommended backpacks are those of medium size, waterproof and soft material. Also avoid carrying more things than you really need, your back will appreciate it.

  3. Take extra socks

    If you go to a place with waterfalls or rivers, where you need to walk on slippery stones, it’s a good idea to have a pair of extra socks.


    When you find a smooth and damp surface, take off your boots and walk only with your socks. This will prevent you from any slipping, thanks to the sock material that generates enough friction to stop the weight of your body on the smooth rock.

  4. Wear Sport Pants:

    It’s not recommended to go on a nature excursion in Shorts, they will not protect you from being scratched by falls or from insects that may be in the place. It’s also not advisable to wear cotton pants because it becomes hot and could suffocate you.


    The best choice is to wear sport pants which are cool for long walks and offers protection against scratches and insects.

  5. Don’t forget to carry snacks:

    Take something home made, light weighed, easy to transport and eat. Fruits or a sandwich are the best choices; Peanuts are ideal because they offer a good amount of protein to repair muscles, and they last more than fresh food.


    Carry foods rich in calories and fats; Energy bars are a good alternative too. Make sure you refill all the energy you will spend on the trip. And don’t forget to leave the garbage in its place, caring for nature is everybody’s job!
